suboxone vs withdrawals..

I have been clean from oxycontin, lortab and xanax since august 2 . In the hospital the dr put me on 8 mg of suboxone a day (half in the morning half at night) Well, around three weeks ago I ran out of the suboxone and since that dr lives in a different county and other circumstances  I cant get there to see him again nor is there a dr here in my town that can prescrib it I have been kinda miserable for three weeks. What I need to know is have I gotten past the worst of the suboxone withdrawals b/c if I have Iam not going to try and renew the script. plus my joints and muscles have been giving me a lot of pain is this w/d from oxys and lortab or w/d from suboxone and will it go away. I just want this to stop and feel NORMAL!!!!!!! thanks to any who can help me.

It will be 3 weeks on Sat. since my last suboxone.   It is alot longer withdrawal and i had no clue going into it.  I think if i had it to do it over again i would have used clonidine and clonazapem and went cold turkey.  I pray this anxiety goes away soon.  Saw the Dr yesterday.  He said this was normal.  It takes time.
But he was right, after two weeks i was better.  Got my smile back.  It isn't a steady anxiety but i never know when it is going to hit.  Best wishes to you all on your journey.  TJack

Well eventually I will have to be off this miracle pill.  I just so worried about my back pain.  the suboxone, keeps my pain at a level where I can cope, and still feel normal.

Suboxone withdrawals can be milder than vicodin however they last a lot longer due to the long half life.. sometimes weeks or months depending on how long you were on it and at what dose you were on. and also how carefully you tapered down.

I have been on a sub program in my town.   My last dose was 11 days ago, 2mg.   I was so depressed and anxious for about 9 days.  Am starting to feel lots better now.  So hang in there, the dr. told me 2 weeks and i'd be good.  Okay that will be Saturday.   Hang in there you will get past this.  TJack

I was taking vicodin for my back pain for about 3 years.  I started to misuse the vicodins and I felt like **** every morning until I took at lease 3 of them.  I found an article on suboxone and found a doctor who could prescribe them to me.  This is a miracle pill.  I take 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 at night.  I've been taking them close to a year now due to the pain reliever in them also help me cope with my back pain.

I'm just wondering how bad are suboxone withdrawals compared to vicodin withdrawals.  I know I will have to get off these eventually.

Yes hun, you are past the worst of it. It would not help you if you have been not been taking it for 3 weeks. As a matter of fact, it would make you sick. Just give it a little more time..you will be back to your old self again.

You hang there and hope to see you post again.

Hang in there. You are finished w/all pills now! Congrats! I get in a hot whirlpool bath and get relief. Even a hot soak in the bathtub will do wonders. Just no more pills, u have come too far. Search the Thomas Recipe here in this forum, it lists vitamins that could help as well. Good luck to you-  V.
