update

i just wanted to open up a little, i have been on this forum for a while and it helped me , especially with research to quit, my wife and i quit 111 days ago and feel good, we knew a couple months before we quit we would be losing our home and i didn't want to detox in a doorway, so we did it , we lost our home and decided to take what little we had and go to california coast and start over (from portland oregon area)well it didn't work out! there is no work on the coast that me a person that has been hazed out for the last 10 years , and was lucky enough to have a pocketful of $ most of those years could find, (no recent work history).
we started going to church and getting closer to the higher energy force we believe there to be, and were gaining much needed faith , but at one point getting pretty down,one day about 5 days ago we were heading to a mission in eureka ca. wen we get a call from an old freind thats driving truck up in sydney mt., he says come up here and you will be workin in a matter of days, so we started heading that way, and after quite an adventure, we made it here and it looks promising, i hope it will work out as i feel this is literally my last hope.I am a newbie at being homeless, and quite frankly not very good at it, lol!, it has given me a much needed new perspective on homelessness.I just know that I could not of done this without being off of opiates and want to thank the ppl on this forum for the time they put in helping others, it means alot!

I am so incredibly proud of you both.  You have fallen on bad luck and yet you have continued to fight thru all the battles you are facing.  There will come a time real soon where the rewards will start paying off.  They always say we are where we are supposed to be.  I still question that one!! lol  Continue in your recovery and go with a spirit that fears nothing~~sara

Glad to read a update on the forum from you two !! It is really hard to be homeless Trev I know but Thank the good spirits if it had to happen you were ready !! It is a lot of work and very tiring.. I hope you are in Montana by now and found a place to settle in for a bit.. I will send a prayer for you both that you are both healthy fed and happy and that you land that job of driving !! I know how much you enjoy that work.. Getting off the opiates was the best thing you two have every done besides birth your children !! It brought out the best in you Trev It really did.. I find you to be a wonderful caring person, who would have thought lol no booze no opiates make for a much better Trev and Gail :) Know I send you good thoughts I will write a pm soon We are finally under construction the kitchen back porch and roof Yeah !! and eeek !! all at once !! lol I will look forward to the next update from you two. with love in my heart.. lesa
