what can you afford now?

Now that you're sober, what can you buy? Someone posted that they took a real vacation first time in years. So, what have you been able to do with your resources since getting sober, or for new people like me (11 days clean), what WILL you do? This could be fun!

I just enjoy having some cash in my pocket without the desire to blow absolutely everything on narcotics. It can be a very empowering feeling after so many years of having all $ spoken for!!

I treated myself to all my expensive beauty products! I have always had savings that I never touched, but used my play money on vicodin. Never again! I loved just indulging on myself for something so overpriced. Rather Saks than the old man selling Vic's!! Good post!

I can't do anything until I pay off all this debt I caused during my usage :(
But still it's nice to know I'm not making it worse still :)

It's interesting how being an actively using addict can keep us from even the most basic needs like food. I expect my grief over what I wasted resources on to hit someday. Or maybe it won't. I was fortunate, and I totally comprehend that. My family never knew, my work never knew, and I escaped the law too. I've moved on and know I'll always be on guard, but never use again.

Back2Me, yes there are consequences. I have debts I've ignored that I'm having to contact one at a time. It's so unpleasant!
