HELP.....About to quit on day 15

Other than not having the "flu" I feel just as bad as day 5 or 6.  It is worse, because today I have anxiety and confusion.  I had to sit and really think about how to sign on here.  I am shaking...my stomach and ribs hurt from shaking.  I take 2 cymbalta a day ( for several years) I read it helps ...but not for meat that strength.  I wonder if a 3 rd one a day would help....I am off dilaudid and soma....I am about to cave.    Jerri

Whew ... that was a close one. Maybe you've picked up something flu-like to add to your misery, but the Ativan will settle you down, maybe help out with the sleep thing. 1 mg. Ativan (lorazepam) = 10 mg. Valium (diazepam), so it's fairly strong stuff, although the half-life is 10 hours or so, leaving you without that groggy feeling the next day.

Forget about the Dilaudid. You hate that stuff.

I got home and took one adivan, and ate a little chicken.  I laid down on the sofa....fell asleep for 3 hours!!!!!  I am not shaking.  My ribs still hurt from the shaking....but I feel much better.   My regular pharmisist says she can't beleive I am doing this by myself.  She thought with what I was taking I would need intreatment.....That made me feel very proud of myself.  Thanks for the help this afternoon    Jerri

I think the adivan will help....I plan to use it only as directed, and only until wd is better.  I amsure they are worried about this being so hard on me because I am  65, and a heart patient with diabetes, and 6  or 8 other things.   Jerri

by day 15...your mood will have to come from your own positive outlook. If you think about being down, you will be. Try being positive no matter what. Life *****, thats life, but it doesnt always have to suck, just monday through thursday lol.

WOW..I didn't know it was that strong! No wonder you are feeling this way. It's nice to know that info....not nice you are going through this at all! However, I think the ativan will help you but I believe it's a benzo that's addictive so be careful with it...I'm sure you know that! Hope you start feeling better soon! (i am really glad you called the dr's ofc)

I got ahold of my doctors nurse and she took my charts to another doctor in there.  They are calling in adavan.  I know nothing about it...but they told me that taking another even !/@ dilaudid would make me have to start over from the begonning.  I will do as the doctors say....A lot of you don't know about dilaudid.  It is gram for gram * times stronger than moraphine. So when I would take a 4 mg pill It was equal to 32 of mor.  I took at least 1 every day but 90 pills would only last 30 to 45 days.  Some days I would take them and soma rotating every 2 hours...that was under drs orders after about  10 to 14 hours I could sleep.  I still to this day have never been high off it except in the hospital once they gave me 6 mg IV....wow that was a ride.                                  Love to all   Jerri
gonna go to the pharmacy and pick up the other stuff.

Please don't cave this far in... I don't think you should feel this way this far out though.. maybe you should contact your doctor.. there could be something else going on. I do not know much at all about the dilaudid so I don't know what the norm is. However, I just really encourage you to not give in this far in to it!

Well, you say this is day 15?? that doesn't sound right to me. What were you taking? Those symptoms sound like you may need a dr's attention. I mean, they are normal for the first few days, maybe even a week. but not at 2 weeks. Please be careful....
