** Pill Anonymous**

I know a lot of people inquire about  AA, NA......There is also a group called PA (Pills Anonymous) There aren't as many groups as the others, but they are out there.  You can usually find them through local Hospitals.  I hear they are really good groups if you can find one in your area.

I am not sure we have one here...I did know a fellow nurse who wanted to start one here but it never went thru....he said pill users are a bit different than iv drug abusers and it is a little more laid back...i agree an addict is an addict...but down here the NA groups are a bit rough...some r there due to just getting out of prison or because they got into trouble and have to get their card signed that they attended.....mostly IV drug abuse...i learned alot and found out my bottom was not near what some people's bottom is..i dont speak the language for the most part and found an AA group that i like...i wished they would start a PA here

Yeah, we have about 5 or 6 in my area. They are few and far......but you have to look for them.  They don't even tell you on there website where they are located ....I have a friend who goes to one and he says it's nothing like AA or NA and that there are many Alcoholics that attend PA because they don't like the AA  environment  I"ll have to go to one myself and see >>>>

I wish I could find them in my area.......none here though.  Maybe I'll call or ask my doctor tomorrow.

Because to me it's different than buying street drugs.  I'mm buying drugs from my physical therapist (well not anymore, and not just him) and doctors.  I'd like a group specifically for pills.  This has been the toughest one in my life to kick-EVER!  I don't like AA, even though I realize I can can take out and put in what I need to to make it more suitable for me.

Are you sure there is not one in your area?  You can call any rehabs in your area or any major Hospital.....really check it out because they don't advertise or promote themselves. You have to dig to find them. Even check with the County Mental Health.....anything like that......I hope you find one!

Yes, because we have like 5 in my area......Like really close to me.  I never would have known if I didn't have a friend who went to a rehab, and he got the info from them.  I hope you find one.......
