PLEASE SOME ONE HELP!!!
I HAVE BEEN TAKEN XANAX FOR ABOUT A YEAR TO HELP CALM MYSELF AND SLEEP.  I SARTED WITH .50 MG A NIGHT AND EVENTUALLY GOT UP TO 2 MG PER NIGHT TO SLEEP.  I STARTED TO HAVE A TOLERANCE AND DESIDED THAT WAS TIME TO QUIT.  I AM NOW DOWN TO 1 MG, AND I AM STILL TRYING TO ET OFF THESE MEDS.  I ALSO TAKE ELEVIL TO HELP ME CALM DOWN.  I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO WEANING MYSELF OFF, BUT IT IS A HARD BATTLE.  I STARTED TO HAVE REALLY BAD HEADACHES MIGRANES (migraines) AT THAT.  I BEEN SEEING MANY DOCTORS ABOUT THESE HEADACHES EVEN A HEAD SPECIALIST AND IT SEEM LIKE IT DIDN'T HELP.  CAN SOME PLEASE SEND ME SOMETHING OR RECOMMEND HOW DO I GET OFF THIS STUFF SAFELY.  AND DO YALL THINK THE HEADACHES CAN BE CAUSE BY WITHDRAWALS FROM THE XANAX.  PLEASE HELP...

I dont really know alot about xanax addiction, but I started using "occasionally" about a month ago-one or 2 mgs/night to take the edge off.  I have noticed that the nights I use xanax, I wake up with a pounding headache. I credit it to the xanax use, because I rarely get headaches. Not much help, I know. All I am trying to say is that x's gives me a headache the next day.
I have a friend that weened herself down from 6mgs/day to 1mg/day and she said that she had pretty bad headaches for awhile until she leveled herself out. she is prescribed 2 mgs/day, i think. whatever she was prescribed, she was taking too much and would run out within a 2 week period and then be w/o for 2 weeks. headaches would set in. so she assumed it was the wd's.
