10 day clean...very sore...real pain or from not taking anything

I am very sore today and hurting. I have been taking ibuprofen but today its not working. I have a curve in spine that pushes on muscles and causes them to hurt. I am try to figure out if I am just hurting of from the stopping of pain pills. I went to my doc last week and he did give an antiflammotory and a non-addictive muscle relaxer when I told him of my issues with lorcets. I have yet to get these filled but wondering if I should. Its Robaxin and Voltari(sp)

I can tell you about Robaxin as I have taken it before... wasn't addicting for me at all... but everyone is different... you do have to be careful with taking it though.. too much of this drug will depress your resperatory system.. that's why I quit taking it... a man one town over from me took too much and died in his sleep... tragic... but again I think he took like a major amount.. but not sure exactly how much.. it works a little but really no better for me than tylenol or alieve or ibuprofen... I also have a curved spine so I understand where you are coming from... and lorcets are just about as bad as the lortabs which was what I was taking ... but you are only at day 10 and could be having rebound pain... my husband and I have both realized after being off the Lortabs for a while that the pain we thought we were having really wasn't sooo unbearable ... it actually got better after we quit taking the Lortabs..

The volteran you were taking about is an NSAID pain releiver similar too but stronger than Ibuprofen. Go ahead and give it a try, it has worked well for me in the past. Best of luck......... Jacky
