11 days clean...now what?

I've been taking 20-30 10mg hydrocodone for 1 1/2 years. Thats just the high dosage, been on them for 5 yrs total. i detoxed at moms house for 3 days. It was hard, but I recovered pretty fast, I think. I,m 11 days clean, no cravings(til yesterday) but my body is sore, like I've been working out and pumpin iron. The anxiety attacks are wearing thin on my patience. How long does it last? Anything I can do or tell myself to stay stronger than this?

HI and welcome to the forum...congrads on 11 days clean....I agree with the others your early in your recovery ...the painful truth of it is only time and God can heal you
there are a few things you can do to help it along ....check out the amino acid protocol
on the right hand side of the screen these supplements have helped many people out
there is no quick fix but some things will help you heal as quickly as possible
I found whey protein shakes to be very helpful...t.there loaded with vitamins amino acids as well as protein all of withch the body needs to heal...you can pick up a 2lb can up at wallmart for 15 bucks...the chocolate flavor is good and all you do is mix it with milk
time is going to be your best friend give it a good 30 days to start to really feel better
aftercare is essential to long term sobriety so get pluged into something...also start looking back into old hobbies and stuff you use to do b/4 you got into the pills
last but not lest ...try and keep a positive attitude ...your mind and body is going thew a lot of changes right now some are not comfortable but you will get thew them
hang in there now is when the real battle starts...its ez to get clean but it takes work to stay clean good luck and God bless.....Gnarly

Congrats on getting through that really rough part. Unfortunately I had to go the Suboxone route. I agree with the others, a councilor would be good to help process feelings and cravings.. don't forget to exercise, because that produces endorphins in your brain, thus helping the imbalance, even a little.

Try rubbing out the soreness on a daily basis,be patient.are you stretching?it really helps me.when I get anxious I breathe deep and try and relax my body cause it's usually in knots.
hope that helps some,good luck!

You can tell yourself it doesn't last forever and that you didn't get in this mess overnight, so.....you can't get out overnight either!  I had to remind myself of that over and over.  It takes a lot of patience to get past this!

You can do it though!  The hard physical part is basically over.  Now comes the mental stuff and the really hard part of staying clean and living life on life's terms.  Have you been to a meeting or seen a counselor? It would help!

Hi~ You just have to be patient and wait it out. It takes time to feel better...sometimes weeks.
You really need to find some kind of recovery care now. It will help you to stay strong.

Good luck~
