How did I do it? Figuring out a persoanl plan tapered to my needs was key. Using that which worked and eliminating that which didn't. Call it trial and error. Eliminating caffeine and candy from my diet as an example (which added to the anxiety).

Obsessed with success and wanting it really, really bad (getting clean), never believing that I might fail, I kept moving forward while keeping my mind occupied with plenty of distractions and positive self-talk, NA meetings, posting here, a few prescriptions, exercise, otc aids...and that was the stuff that helped me get clean. It was well worth the hassle and the wd's!
