Here is the link to that board. It will really help you, I promise!
There is no judement there. It is full of moms who are dealing with real pain issues, meds, and even addiction. I'm sure someone there has been in your shoes.

They won't take your baby from you, which don't take my word for it. I fessed up to my doctor during my higher dosed pregnancy that I was taking some of a family member's meds( don't give names) because I was in so much pain from my surgery and my script wasn't working. I openly admitted I knew it wasn't right. I told them I wasn't addicted(though I was). My Dr. gently spanked my hand and upped my amount. Usually, when you come clean, the best happens. Even if they give you 1 pill a day, it will be in your best interest to have a script from the Dr. There are things we can talk about in message that I can't on here. If you need more help, feel free to message me. I have been in your shoes and know your fear.
Like the others have said -- every pregnancy is different. Most likely, your baby will be fine.
If you haven't yet, find baby center and send a request to join the private Chronic Pain board. It is full of women in your position venting and letting everyone know when they delivered, their doses, and if their babies had issues.
I read that board 9 months straight through 2 pregnancies, so I know a lot about pregnancy and narcotics.
Thanks vicki really I will do just that:)
No one will want to take your baby from you. Just talk to your doctor about your pain issues. It's the safest thing to do. You don't want to do anything that could potentially cause harm to your baby or yourself.
I take them for pain only not the high. I was scared to tell her cuz its not perscribed to me it is to my husband for his injured back I didn't want her to tell someone who could take my baby its my first.
I can't give medical advice, of course. First of all, I am sorry you hve to endure a hard job during pregnancy. What I can tell you is that I was given that much during one pregnancy and my twins came our perfect, with no WD's.
During another pregnancy, I was given much more than what you are taking, and that baby was fine.
However, I was under both a pain management Dr. and watched by my OB.
If you are doing this illegally -- don't. Fess up with your Dr. They will most likely write you a script since it is a small amount, but being in pain or even dropping small amounts can be dangerous for your baby if you experience WD's.
Don't up your dose, and have a very open convo with your worries, pain levels, and any other concerns you have.
Congrats, Mama!
Depends.....does you obgyn know about the percocet? Do you take them strictly for pain, prescribed by your OB doc? Yes, it's possible that your baby is just fine, but if you haven't done so already, you MUST tell you doc tomorrow....FIRST THING TOMORROW! They can wean you where there will not be danger to your sweet baby! : ) Congrats!
No one can tell you that your baby will be hurt or not. It's very individual. The best advice anyone can give you is to tell you not to take any drugs or alcohol while pregnant and to consult an obstetrician about your current work situation and Percocet use.
Good luck and take good care of yourself!
