Hey - just wanted to comment on the eating thing.....I felt the same way. And I quit on Dec. 1st; right in the midst of holiday season. It was BAD, let me tell ya. Didn't want any food that first week or so but then suddenly the appetite was BACK with a vengeance!!! But it only lasted a couple weeks and then it seemed to go back to normal.
I know its hard early on.....seems like the pills were our answer to everything (I know they were for me). It just takes some time for those feelings to lessen and they WILL, they really will. Just remember that the pills make us THINK they help, because we take them and we just zone out and forget about everything. But the pills wear off and real life comes crashing back. Try to not stress - these feelings are normal at first, but they do fade in time. You never have to go through all of this w/d crap again - think of that when you get a craving - NOT worth it!!! Hang in there :))
I can relate on wanting to eat! Ugh. I gained a few pounds after Quiting but am trying to stay postive and wk really hard at keeping a clean diet to keep my weight down. As I know it will cause me to have more problems.
You can do this!!! I know life gets stressful. Sorry u are having a rough time. I know someone w more experience will give u se good advice. Just wanted u to know u r not alone. Praying for u!!
Chris

Heat? Hot bath, heating blanket, heating pad?
Why do you think we have good and bad days. I had a good days Saturday & Sunday was ok. Then I have a horrible day. I don't understand.
Advil & heat help . The pain will ease in a few hours . We all have some good days and some not so good days .
I can get thru the tuff days now and still be OK , the good days are wonderful .
Keep strong 100% positive ... Ron
Thanks. All the support is very helpful. I don't know where I would be if I didn't have this site to express my feelings and the support is incredible. Thanks so much to everyone. I just hope I can help someone in the future.
Please hang in there . . . cravings like this are so common early on like this, but they will lessen as each hour and day goes by. Can you get out and get a little exercise after work; get some natural endorphins going? This always helps me to refocus and feel better. The above posters suggestions about Aleve are great; can you try that? You are already a few days into this - don't give up. You NEVER have to go through this again. These physical pains and discomfort, the cravings, it's all temporary and will pass. A clean and sober future can last forever......keep pushing through; you can do this!
I know how you feel. I am hurting now, that is why I am here where I know support is at my fingertips. YOU can beat those cravings and you will! Aleve has been helping me...please know we are here for you!
I know it's tough, Jathil, but you can do this. These cravings aren't YOU. Stare them down. They will pass and become less frequent. Don't let your habit trick you into believing you don't have an option, here. It lies! The lid of the box has been off the whole time. You deserve better. As GarbageAddict360 above says, We're here for you. Hold fast!
In time this too shall pass... Our obsessive behaviors, our compulsions to use will go away and become less invasive in our every day lives. How about trying some Aleve? You would be surprised how much pain our bodies can deal with and the fact that over the counter pain alleviators actually work. Be strong and keep telling yourself "I can do this! I don't want to live like a slave to my addiction any longer" WE ARE ALL HERE FOR YOU
