2 YEARS CLEAN

If you had asked me two years ago whether I could have accomplished this I would have said NO.I came back after

almost 6 months clean and had a three week relapse.This time I did it differently .I really did not think I needed any

aftercare the first time .This time however I new I wanted it to be the last time ..Thank god I did because there have been times I really needed it .


I found the forum the first few days of my first detox everyone was so expecting and nice to me some of which are still here. I wish there were more but we know people come and go on here .I take it day by day .Thank you all of being my supporters my sounding board and my friends .
  
There are a few people that have really stuck by me threw the whole time You are very special and you know who are.
I love being a Community Leader here it has been very positive experience .I am very lucky to be doing it with a great person in IBK.
You can get and stay clean. It is worth the struggle don't ever give up and if you do relapse get yourself right up and start again.You will always have supporters to help you threw I love you all

very cool. i went 6 years clean and made the very stupid mistake of relapsing. i thought i could handle the addiction this time. haha. you know...the first few weeks and even months are very difficult. even the first year is difficult...but the problem is when 6 years have passed and you start to convince yourself that you COULD just do it one more time and you'd be fine. i really don't know your experiences or your story...but i know how hard it can be to stay clean at times so you should really be proud of yourself.

this forum has helped me too, although i seriously doubt anyone here has realized i even exist. i really don't come here for people to realize i exist, though. i come here because stories like yours help me feel like i'm going to be able to do it myself and they remind me that addicts usually are good people who really DON'T want to be addicts. i think for a lot of people who've never had an addiction, it's easy to forget that it can literally happen to anyone. but anyway, congrats.

WOW 2 YRS!! That is a great feet!! You should be sooo proud as you said to me on 90 days! WE are all very proud of you! You help ppl here on a daily basis giving the advice or tgh love that we seek!! Okay, so I set my alarm for 5:30 am and I had a big note on my desk to post congratulations but you beat me to it!!!

Avis, I think you know you mean the world to me. You were the 2nd or 3rd person I met here two years ago. I was still using when I came to this site and that was okay with you. You had not used the drug I was using and that was okay with you too. It didn't matter, you stuck by me and you supported me every step of the way. THAT is what it is all about.

In the past two years I have watched you go through some of life's heartaches and I also watched how you have handled those situations. Using was not an option for you. You faced your problems, you talked about them and you got through them. I truly admire that.

You are a great lady and an inspiration to us all.

Keep up the good work lady!!!!!!!

Sorry I'm so late in offering my congraulations...I was busy with my grand daughter.
Two years ! ! !  I know when your journey began you could not see your self with multiple years ( thats how it is for most of us) but Here You Are, wth multiple years clean. In my experience You have more to offer the still suffering addict More than I do because I am soooo far removed from detox and learning how to Live clean.I can offer hope and support but I know Jack about Tappering....I leave that to the experts.
