2 days off Percocet

Good day all, I have posted a couple of times on here looking for information about getting off percocet as I was taking 12 to 20 per day for chronic back pain.  I am still in a ton of pain but getting off the pills is a personal goal of mine and I am doing this for myself and my wonderful wife of 8 months.  One of the best things is my wife completely understands the pain I am in and that this is not easy for me especially because I am still in pain.

My doctor has prescribed a high dosage of prednisone to help with the withdraw symptoms and it seems to be working very well for me except for the sleepless night I had last night.  I have not experienced any sweating or other symptoms associated with withdraw which is making things much easier for me.  I have an appointment with my doctor this morning to see how things are going and I must admit it feels much better than any other time I have tried to get off these pills.

Now for the real problem, my chronic back pain.  I do not know how to approach this because I do NOT want to take percocet for the pain as I will be right back where I was.  Has any had experience with pain patches as this is one thing my doctor has talked about.  Thanks again to all that have contributed.

Good for you my friend. keep it up. maybe ask your doctor for something that will help with the pain. as far as teh patch. I am allergic to the fentynal in it so I can't use them. I still have alot of pain. but the heating pad helps me some. I just wish you luck..
