2nd Day on Suboxone

It's early still but it's officially my second day on suboxone.  I feel okay still...it's weird.  I should be sick,sick,sick right now.  Normally I would be too sick to be typing on the computer but here I am.  Suboxone is a miracle that's for sure.  I am taking 8mg twice a day.  It's a pain in the butt to let the thing melt under your tongue.  I was a little surprised that the doctor or pharmacist didn't stress this very much.  I learned about the melting under your tongue online.  I read that if you swallow them...the anti-opiate agent thing kicks in and you get super sick.  It's helpful to know.  My doctor didn't say anything about it....the pharmacist mentioned it but I had to ask first.  If I didn't read about it online...I would be swallowing them and I would not be well that's for sure.

I did get tired yesterday.  The very first dose I took...I thought shoot...I can't go to work like this.  Today seems better.  However right now I have some mild symptoms.  I'm cold (could be that it's February though).  I have diarreah (I've had it before...I'll live) and low motivation (again...I'll live).  Mild headache too.  So far so good though.  Much better then cold turkey.

If you swallow it, it will not work. It is designed to be dissolved under your tongue. My doctor told me to lean forward and hang my head a bit while it was dissolving, which causes an increase in saliva. It did seem to help. Hopefully, the label on the bottle says "dissolve" under tongue.

Congrats on your second day! So happy for you, especially that your feeling good!
It's interesting. Where did you read about the "if you swallow the pill, you'll get sick'.
We (Sister, Mary & I) put them under tongue too, but I wonder if we're not letting them desolve all the way, or swallowing to much during that little process? Hummm?
Glad you brought this up, Thank you. Its another area I'll have to look into.
