Yes there are definite milestones in this recovery process.  I felt awesome after 6 months and rarely had a bad day after that.  After 6 years of living in an opiate haze and in bed isolated from the world, it was like I was reborn.  Be patient and kind to yourself.  Exercise REALLY helps.  I totally became addicted to it and up until 6 months ago when I had a flare of my chronic pain and illness it was my saviour.  Oh how I miss it.  Just keep moving forward and be gentle with yourself.  You're doing awesome (:

Oh and Lily- It is SO good to see you here lovely.  I remember your first post two years ago.  So happy and proud to see you still clean.

Hi there, congratulations on 3 months !!!
Fantastic : )
I agree with above posts. A good 6 months to you may feel good or at least ok.
Dont let this discourage you, i still have many bad days at neally 7 months.
I also have great days too.
It can take up to 1 year to feel you are whole again.
I started having great days around 5 months.
Just give it some time, recovery is a long process and when your having bad days, all it means is your brain is trying to fight for you to be ok again.
Prayers for you : )

Hi..YES You will. It takes a good 6m to a Year for most to find a balance. Just keep pushing and make sure you are doing that Aftercare. Feeling like this at 3 months can be a bad place for your head. It will try to trick you back into using if you do not keep working on staying clean and give this more Time and with Time comes PATIENCE!! I sure hope you will bounce back soon. To be honest with you..But I am no spring chic and have used off & on for over 40 years, it has taken me almost 2 years..lol It should not take you that long but it does take time.
Hang in for a better Life!!!
Bless

Hey Friend,
congrats on your three months! that is awesome. I am two years clean this month. The past two years have been a road with twists and turns, some smooth sailing and some potholes.
You will see milestones as you go along. It does get better. The anxiety was the biggest fight for me, it seemed to take longer for me than others from what I was reading. Everyone is different. it will go away, I promise. As time goes on it gets better and better. I am so happy now to just be. I have actually hugged trees, lol.
hang in there, it gets so much easier,
hugs,
lily
