31 Days clean from Methadone

Well I can say that the days are deff. getting easier but it is still a test of faith each day. As many of you know I have been going thru a lot the past few days which makes it harder to deal with. My uncle Joe is on his death bed and its only a matter of time before we lose him. I think the hardest thing in dealing with this is the fact I lost my Mamaw 13 months ago and I was just starting to get to where I didnt think of her on a daily basis and then this happened. He is passing the same exact way she did. It is hard to be there and watch my family go thru this but it is something I must do. As for the withdrawals they are at a hit and miss point. I still get inflamed taste buds on my tounge but I am starting to get used to them being there. Sleep comes and goes I have been getting a average of 4 and 1/2 hours a night and sometimes I am able to doze off at some point during the day its only for a hour but thats a improvement from where it was. So sorry to hear of your loss and your uncle's illness. Losing loved ones is so hard.   I pray you have family/friends support at this time of you life.

Going thru the loss and grief without medicating is powerful but don't go thru this alone.

hi, and congrats on your 31 days clean, I am also going through a death situation in my family, my mother-in-law is in hospic and it is getting close. I am  100 miles south of her and the way I feel I just can't make it up there. I do all I can from here but wish I was still  on vicoden and anitdepresants. But I am not and don't really want to be. so we both have to be strong good luck and prayers to you

Congrats!  It does seem like things go wrong when we decide to quit, but guess there is never a good time to try and stop.  We just have to go for it when the getting is good!

I think that is awesome, 28 days clean from methadone!
