you are doing just fine. and you will get over the hump soon and it will fom there be a down hill battle. i found that its important not to anticipate things as our mind can definitely make withdrawal much worse... not saying this isnt real by any means but the more you contiously say "this is terrible" or "i know i wont get sleep tonight" the more your thoughts will become reality. im not saying you shouldnt remedy your discomfort with hot baths bananas and hydration, but i am saying that sometimes we can work ourselves up to the point where our anxieties cause us the most discomfort. so as hard as it is right now think positively. change the negative anticipations to positive ones like "im so close to getting up and over this hill" you will be amazed at the power of your own mind. na meetings for the most part also tend to be a very positive atmosphere and may help. but really you are so close to breaking these chains. good luck to you. and congrats on 31 hours!

Calcium+Magnesium helps cramps+potassium to settle the legs (bananas, onions) This stuff is in Gatoraide by the way, and it helps you to flush the body.  Drink lots of water, Chamimile and/or peppermint tea at best, it helps flush you out, at the least, it occupies you while going to the bathroom all the time.  I don't know what to tell you about the cold, I can't shake it either, and I finally got some 5hrs of sleep last night.  Benadryl at bedtime seems to help that a  little, as well as help the "itchies"  Wrap yourself up in a couple blankets, and plead the flu?

It will pass! Hold strong! You've heard this before and you'll hear it again...if I did it anyone can! The symptoms will pass, I've been there. I'm 15 months off vicodin. I can say I look back now and whoa!...you CAN and WILL feel great and 'normal' again!

Hang tough

Its worth it not being chained to a pill

Hang tough I know it tough but it will pass in time.  I am at the same place, time wise as you only this is not my first time.  Good luck and keep fighting the fight.

Hi-

I have been off vics. 8 days. The first five days were bad but I was blessed because I didn't have the creepy crawling feeling and my restlessness wasn't major. It was annoying but I could deal. The worst for me was sweating and freezing...ugh!!

All that to say,' I am glad you are doing this and I know you can make it..one minute at a time'!

Hi.....Iam feeling for you....the first few days are not fun but with the right stguff it is soooo possible!!!  Sounds like RLS is ur major problem and the wonder drug for that is Hylands Restful Legs, you can find it at like walgreens or rite aid.  It is seriously a miracle prodduct.  I just dissolved them under my tongue and it worked great.  But your decision to quit is awesome!!!  I am on day 7 and feeling great, and even better each day!!!  Please stick with it and regain that old self!!  Oh and this board is freaking awesome, everyone is so helpful!!!  Good luck!!!

I agree with both of them........hot hot baths.......trying eating bananas also for the RLS.  The creepy crawly feeling will go away.......Turn the music on and sit back and let yourself feel the music......it is very healing.  Dont watch the clock........time will seem like it is at a standstill.  You are doing great so keep moving forward and keep posting     sara

I'm with lostdreams....I'd sit in the hot bath as long as you can....if you can't do that, and you have a heating pad, wrap it around your legs...that helped me some.  If you don't have a heating pad, you can use a dishtowel in the microwave.

I could NOT sit still in the very beginning of detox...I sat on my couch and rocked back and forth all night long.....when I could not sit in that position any longer, I either paced the floor, or I tried laying on my side and moving my legs in either a swishy way, or just like you were tapping your foot on the floor only your leg is on the sofa so it's just jiggling.  I also, I know this sounds weird, counted....it helped me to keep my mind out of a total panic.  Keep your t.v. or music very calm, and very low.  No action flicks either.  Nothing too complicated or stimulating.

The good news is, it DOES end eventually, and you're on your way TO that end....keep hanging on!

I am so sorry you are going through this.
You should try a hot bath for the rls....the hotter the better. I find it helps me so much.

Your doing great.....keep working it. It'll all be over with soon.
