Well we went to a dr today and for all the peeps out ther who have sufferd from loss of smell and taste i was told from a respected dr at a clinic that snorting drugs will destroy the hairs in yor sinuses that r responsible for the senses of smell and have a major role in your taste, because without smell your taste will be off...he said time is on our side and it will come back :)

I have to imagine that after snorting that much and for that period of time that it's going to do some damage to your nasal passages - which are directly related to your taste buds, your esophagus, the throat area, I mean, that whole area had to have been affected.  It seems to me that time may help repair that damage, but I'm with IB - I think it's definitely a good idea to be checked out by a Dr.  Even just going to a clinic might suffice and they are a lot less expensive than seeing a general practice Dr.

Good luck to both of you - and congrats on the 35 days!  That is something to be VERY proud of!  :)

Pretty much doctors ask for money--online or in person. I think you should both spend the money to find out up close and personal with a doctor as to what is going on. Think about how much you spent on the drugs when you were actively using and ask yourself if it is worth it to spend a percentage of that to ask a real doctor. And believe me, I am not trying to be rude. I am trying to get you to understand that you may have done some damage and NO ONE on the internet, professional or not, can help you. You need to be seen in person and be tested. Members can sit here all day long and tell you that has also happened to them. How is that helping? You may need treatment or medication, neither of which can be administered over the internet.

Please get the help you need and let us know how you are doing.
