have u read the health pages and the thomas recipe? there is also an article on internet sites to get things online to help u
sumpin for sleep and anxiety is what most people need//i did not as i slept 16 hrs a day when i quit and almost became zombie..day 5 i was back to work so i had to "perk" up...i used the thomas recipe plus exercise(exercise pumps those endorphins u need so badly right now) and made it..the fatigue almost got me cos im a nurse and i run all day long..i was losing my life just trying to work...and then sleep..sumpin had to change..so i read and learned..read the dopamine article too if u can..tons of info in the health pages
There r safe drugs for sleep like phenergan/otc most places but not here//in the usa a dr will call it in tho as it is not addictive...25-50 mgs will knock most out for the night...small pieces like 1/4 can help anxiety..OTC drugs like valerian root, melatonin and benadryl which is in most sleep aids can also help..some use benzos short term//addictive and dangerous//but sometimes u gotta do what u goota do///benzos would be a lst choice and being 4 days in i would avoid them as u r really thru the worst of physical wd at this point..u will feel better and better each day..read the health pages
mental depression and fatigue is what causes relapse as a rule/can last up to 90 days while the brain heals/...i went to meetings daily during this fragile time..for some the depression and fatigue (I called it doomers" can do u in...u reach a point where u can be so depressed that u dont even care if u r gonna relapse by takin a pill cos u feel so doomy..that is why NO PILLS in ur reach and AFTERCARE will save u ..posting here daily will also remind u of where u never wanna go again
I was on around 200 mg of hydro a day and quit the same way. CT- nothing to help with the WD other than water and exercise. In a strange way....I wanted to do it that way, just so it would mean that much more to me when I made it thru the other side.
Like I said...way to go on the quitting. I can tell you though...be careful. I am past 3 weeks now, and I can say that you will still have cravings that will have to be fought off, despite how bad you wanted to quit the habit. Keep a positive mindset, and keep thinking about why you quit, and you should be okay.
Congrats!
