5-HTP and Wellbutrin

by On a Clear Day..., Jun 04, 2008 01:09PM
Am currently taking Wellbutrin and would like to give 5-HTP a try as I am sooooo tired and fatigued and trying to not take something I shouldn't...
I read not to take 5-HTP with anti-depressents that are a SSRI. From what I can read about Wellbutrin, it is not one of those. Guess I could call the pharmacist to be certain before mixing the two.

Or check with your Dr. Exercise really helps to get the energy back up. It kicks start the endorphins, which gives energy and lifts the mood.

Thanks. Called the pharmacist and find Wellbutrin is a SSRI so taking the 5-HTP would not have a benefit. He said one would cancel out the other. Hmm...guess it is time to start riding the bike!
