For all you starting out( makes me laugh to say that because I'm still so early in recovery) keep on going my life isn't 100% where I want it to be but it's 1000% better then it was 151 days ago....j still think about pills of coarse but now I do not obsess over them and it's so nice to be able to focus on other things....most important thing to do even more then aftercare is change people places and things eliminate all temptation by not being around it.... I'm telling you it works

Yeah!!!! Five months. Amazing.
I just wanted to tell you that a newbie like myself with only 18 days clean, hearing triumph stories definitely keep the fight still alive in me.
I wanted to thank you for your post because with stories like yours, our hope to one day live a sober life can be seen through you. Congrats on your clean time, and I am counting the days until I too can say I have 5 months under my belt.

Congrats on 5 months! NA has been a Godsend to me this time around. I also think that we relapse in our mind before we even reach for a pill. Thats why aftercare is important and learning to identify triggers. I had some sneak up on me last month. Again Congrats on 5 months Yeah!!((hugs))~Bkitty
