6 months 2 days clean, wow!

Hi everyone,
Have not checked in for quite awhile.  Well, sunday I was 6 months clean. It has been an interesting experience to say the least.  Kicking mass amounts of opiates while going through chemo sucked.  Chemo has been done for about 2 months now.  My health is great, but life is different.  I used to be so out going and had a very busy schedule.  That was all that I new.  Now, I stay home and basically don't talk to anyone all day, wait for my boyfriend to get home, have dinner and go to bed.  It is up to me now to make a new life for myself.  I am over the drugs, but boredom is very difficult.  I have found that I have no interests, hobbies, etc.  At 52 I feel like a child that moved away from all her friends at school and have to start all over.
I am very lucky though, I have a wonderful man that has stood by me through everything.  I think I wore him out.
I just want to be my old happy go lucky self, but without the drugs.  Guess I am still learning how to live clean.
Thanks to all for the suupport

thanks for the boost.  You are all so right, I need to get off my pitty pot, and get on with it.
Don't get me wrong, I am very happy, just bored.  But I am going to get up and off my *** starting right now.  Definately do not plan on a relapse.
The sun is out time to play.
Thanks I needed to hear from you all.

It's really good to hear from you! Way to go on your clean time and getting through the chemo. I have to agree that some sort of activity or interest is needed. Make a list of all the things you would like to do. Then chose at least one. Even a new pet can help.

Also, look at the Health Pages for the amino acid protocols. It sounds like you are still lacking energy and motivation. SamE 400 mg along with other aminos can help. Exercise is vital to get the endorphin production started again. Sunshine or tanning helps too.

Doin' the California WWwwwaaAAAaaaAAAaaaAAAAAVVVvvvvEEeeeEEEeeeEee!!!!!
For both wonderful news!!!! You are a wonderful miracle made right before our eyes.
Keep it up!!!! It's easier said than done...but find something to do...you have too or you will surely relaps. Don't throw this blow your own way. Keep moving, do something wonderful for him. Doing something nice for someone else always makes us feel better.
Just a thought.
God Bless You and Congrats Again!

You do need to find an interest of some kind.......it really will help you, boredom is a major thing, i think, when it comes to relapsing.

You have done so well, CONGRATULATIONS on 6 months clean and getting through chemo at the same time, that is amazing! It shows you must be a very strong minded person. People like yourself never cease to amaze me! CONGRATULATIONS
