85 days clean!!!!!

Cool. Well this is the longest I have been clean in years and actual got good sobriety. Sorry I havent been on much. Felt bad cause I havent been posting. Veryyyyyy busy with work. Its good it keeps me sober. Being able to manage my finances without buying pills. Bout to get a vehicle. Yeah everythings coming together. I even went to take a test to get my diploma and get into school. Dont get me wrong I havent let my guard down, learned that the hard way one sober try. Well thank you all for helping me get through the hardest part. The first couple months. I will try to post more often and comment. Looking forward to that triple digit marker. It's unbelievable. Believe and imagine big. You all can all do it.

Thank you all, yeah your happiness will come back and when I got my life  more in order and some clean time the better mood comes back, but dont get me wrong we all have bad days too or bad weeks. It is a fight. I was on like 2mg subs for year and a half til I got clean. The worst was those first 8 days. The first month after those eight days I exercised alot and now I got a job that is exercise in itself. Dont give up it gets better. I also take natural supplements sam-e that soppose to help mood and joint comfort. There are many things they your body creates naturally and when you add vitamins or herbal vitamins they can help alot. and even juicing fruits and veggies. I am having a bad week this week cause used the wrong mechanic. so hard to find a good honest one. Hopefully things workout.

Congrats Jrizzy.  Glad I came across your post.  On day 4 of another try being clean after numerous relapses.  Bad oxycodone habit.  I have went longer then this before, think I got up to about a month but my brain still didn't feel right.  It's like I'm void of emotion, I call it "Dexter Stage".  I'm wondering if I have done damage that can't be undone.  Worst part is I might need surgery in a month or 2, wonder how that's just going to mess everything up.  Can you tell me if you feel anything yet?  Do you have the ability to be happy?  Did this slowly return?  I just feel like nothing when I'm clean for a while.  Empty inside.  I'm on about 2mg of suboxone on a 10 day taper to 0, and right now I feel like I do when I'm clean.

When relapsing it can put a wear on you. But we have to get up and keep going. I said Im guna fight to win this battle until the day I die. Atleast do my best. Never let your guard down. Thanks jimmy yeah everything seems to be coming together, the hardest is the moments where the disease (aka satin) messes with your mind. I have a really good mindset this go around. In the past 8 years of my drug abuse. I havent been clean longer than 30 days so this is very new to me, but it is a good new. Not as hectic and paranoid if I am guna die from the dope boy or my addiction. More at peace. Thank god

Hi there - hope you are having a fabulous day/evening - thanks for your note...I am feeling much better about things, although, I never thought the emotional, mental and physiological aspects of relapsing would be as tough as they are - WOW!  So, so hard...but I'll be okay - I will get through this.

You keep up the good work, and you, too, keep on chuggin' - I'm always around if you want to talk -

Thank you all for the comments. Gnarly My aftercare is work, therapist and I went to two celebrate recovery meetings. ( not enough) I have to start getting into celebrate recovery every week or something drug based. I know its crucial. 0421, The restless legs went away gradually by the 8 day they were gone, but also got to almost the lowest dose of suboxone possible. Depends on what your using and how much and how long. They do have stuff for that. The first month to 6 weeks was on melatonin. Now I dont take anything to sleep. I sleep like a baby. Wow

CONGRATULATIONS!  Kudos on the amazing work you've done - I had recently been clean/sober for 280 days, but suffered a setback and relapsed when I was hospitalized in February.  I'm now back on the path I need to be on, and must say a lot of it is because of the wonderful, indispensible support I receive from the people on this site.

Don't worry about how often you post - I can post for days, weeks on end, then disappear for months at a time, but people are still here for me when I need them - we all understand -

Keep up the GREAT work - feels good, doesn't it?  I know that if I miss a day of marking another clean/sober day off the calendar, I totally feel like I'm missing something important  :-)

Take Care!

Karen  :-)
