A couple questions.

I take 1 pill of 10/325 norco every 4 hours for the past 5 years. When I wake up in the morning besides having to take one to function properly, I have dark colored urine, not real dark but dark enough to make me worry about it. I know I can look this up on the web and I will but I wanted to check with you all too. Is this a sign of liver or kidney problems, or am I just dehidrated? I really don't drink water, mostly tea and not that much of it. I don't drink alcohol at all. And has anyone had any liver or kidney problems from taking pain meds.

Just wanted to add a comment that Im 27 & female, ive been in a healthy stable relationship for 7 years...but im afraid to have kids,,,why?!? because then I would have to come off the pills. Sad but true. So be strong ladies with babies, Im really proud of you all.

Not to be gross but is it yellow/deep amber...if so it is most likely dehydration and you have said you don't drink much water. I doubt it is kidney or liver...if you are concerned you can always have liver function tests done (that is just a blood draw).  If you are 27 and you said relatively healthy I doubt it is either of the above.  You are obviously concerned about this...noone can force or motivate you to quit but you, yourself.  If you get off of this junk, you won't have these particular worries...something to think about!

The dark urine is more an indicator of your need to take in more fluids. Clear urine is what you should strive for and it also will help flush the drug out. If your looking to come off the drug, just indicate it when your ready and you will have TONS of excellent help here for you. I pray for you, and please pray for all of us.

Your probably right, i don't think it's anything too serious. But I am still worried, I havn't seen a doctor in 4 years, havn't had too the hydro fixed, or should I say masked everything. And yes I am going to stop taking the pills, I want too, but I can't imagine what my life would be like without em, it's hard to remember what life was like back then. From what I do rememberit was good. Im starting to really want my life back, I just have to convince myself.
