Hi,I just joined up!I to am freaking out about acetaphetamine and liver issues,I was rear ended by a bus several years ago and have several wasted disc and arthritis from it,I deal with chronic pain and muscle spasms,I,ve been on 7.5/750 mg. since the wreck,I,ve been taking 4-5000 ml.a day,its your dammed if you do or dammed if you dont because of the pain issue,im only 52 years old and with all this info coming out about effects from the pain pills have made me perk my attention,I went to my docter last week and he cut my script down to 7,5/325 and they dont do anything for my discomfort,I defenitley have to have a conversation with my doctor,I never took ANY pills before the accident, what are all of us to do? I think most of the attention on this is sorta tied to michael jackson dying from all the stuff he was doing, wish every one the best...LAIDBACKKN***
Yeah, I knew that all this aceto was bad, but it also don't bother my stomach too much - nuthin' a few Tums can't remedy - but I been takin way too much for years - can't get the "good" part without the aceto-crud - I'm up to about 10,000 mg some days of aceto... ecchhh! the liver enzymes in my blood tests are ok, but mebbe I should also get a liver/kidney panel... what's a "panel" anyways? a sortuva CT? it's an honor to be on a forum with folks like you - I really mean it - and I'm cheering for each one of you... hope it helps a little! L, Nefesh
A heads up.....I found out over the many years I took Codeine with Tylenol: Most of my body pain I experienced was caused by the Tylenol combined with the Codeine! Since being off it, my body, mainly my back...is much, much better...pain almost gone entirely. I've cut way back from the Codeine but not entirely yet (now taking it with Aspirin instead of Tylenol)...hopefully I will be able quit it all one day. It is difficult to go off a drug completely when it is the only thing that helps with migraines...but I'm working at minimizing the headaches.
Good luck to you all in getting all the "crud" out of your systems...it is a good feeling to be almost normal!!

Again, your words of heed are taken so seriously here. I cannot expain how valuable this information is to me. Seriously, everyone, please know these words may have saved my life. I know that sounds dramatic, BUT I DID NOT KNOW THE DANGER, and I am putting 10 times the amount I should some days. (n0o, I am not exagerating that figure) I could croak from this s*** I feel is making me better, able to live, able to function. Bull****. It is literally killing me.
What next if I get the mobile test and my liver is shot?
You are sure right about the "pills" and causing pain...expecially going through W/D.
The pain I experienced deep in my bones during the worst of withdrawal was unbelieveable. That has subsided.
I still have pain from arthritis... 'specially neck when I'm sitting at computer too long in a seat that is not adjusted properly... but it surely is manageable. The fact is hitting home hard I was just using the Vics for the "feel good" aspect.
The acetephetamine is a killer... YES.. especially if you take a Vic with any kind of alcohol. Thankfully our livers can regenerate and get healthy it's just about the only organ in our bodies w/that capability.
One day at a time...

Hey I'm glad you understand about the tylenol issue. I never went over the 4000. I had a hystorectomy in July and the doc to pictures of my liver while he was in there and it was healthy. If your scared go to the doctor and ask them to run a liver and kidney panel. If you don't have insurance you can go to a mobile unit. Call the local hospital and they will tell you the number. They mobile vans keep stuff private. Be sure to drink lots of water because you can really jack your kidneys as well. The liver takes out the toxins and then the kidney filters everthing too. I never had a problem with hydro's until I went to a pain management person. She put me on Norco 10/325. That is 10 hydro 325 tylenol. That was in July. Here I am in January screwed. I'm not mad at here Hell I took the pills but man it wratched up FAST. So whatever you do don't go any higher stick to 4000 of tylenol. Some 7.5 have 500 tylenol but some 7.5 have 750 tylenol. Check your bottle.
This information has really not sunk in. I am taking 12-15 7.5 vic a day for years. It is unfathomable to think my liver is hardened and how could it possibly regerate without a break. Sometimes I take more, sometimes less, but NEVER under the amount you indicate is safe. I am killing myself.
You said the 500's have so much that they give you a belly ache and it makes you stop taking them. Never happened to me. I don't eat regularly either so I am always taking doses on an empty stomach.
I am in shock. Yes I knew it's bad for me, No, i didn't know how much I am overdosing myself each and every day.
Thank you Thank you
