Addicted to Coricidn Cold and cough

Been robo-tripping fairly regular for over 7 years now, addicted to crack before that. I tried working with a Phyciatrist. Used "seroquel" and "Cymbalta" for a while lasted a couple of months. Since it didn't work I just quit going to see the shrink.. I really never thought I'd live this long, I'm 47 I've abused drugs since I was 11 Ive, been away from alcohol and crack for a couple of years , when I go a few days without a robo-trip I feel Like I'm ready to die,chest hurts, I wease life really doesn't seem worth it anymore. How do I quit?

there is a road to recovery but you have to step on the path. what is it that you dont believe about the 12 steps. they are proven to have helped many people.
then try one on one counseling. addiction is just the symptom for the underlying issues that have been in your heart,soul,mind and spirit for so many yearsit can be due to trying to self medicate because of depression or anxiety. or . trying to bury emotional pain,wounds and scars.  get to the bottom of it and chase away the demons .
you have tried meds from the psychiatrist, if you used with them they wouldnt have truly worked.
have you ever attended church, there is much peace and comfort to be found there. the LORD is able to heal and deliver.

I should have added more history I guess, I did 29 days inpatient Oct 95, then 7 days in a phyc ward January of 96, left my home state to MS and did 90 meetings in 90 days NA. Stayed clean untill 2000, when I moved back to my home state in IL. Started drinking, then around 2002 started using crack every so often. 2003 discovered overdosing on coricidin buzz. I can't stand AA,NA meetings and don't believe in 12 step programs.

robo tripping is taking 1/2 a bottle of robutusine coff suripe to produce LSD type effects
its a dirty high and considered dangerous nothing you want to mess with the teens over the last 10yrs have used this in place of LSD to trip......I have friends that have tryed it and say it is a dirty high and no way to trip stay away from this your missing out on nothing worth wile

HI welcome to the forum......sounds like your looking for an excape in where ever you can find one as for the robo triping if you do it enough it can be addicting your best bet is to look into recovery but the first step is you got to want to stop.....you got to want it bad this is not ez to do but it is worth it I recamend N/A as a place to start all you need is the desire to quit to join you will learn the life skills and tools there on how to go about stoping it not ez you will have to face your demons without drugs the first thing you need to know about addiction is its not about the drugs it about much deeper issues and dealing with them can be painful again not ez but worth it in the end robo triping is not exactly safe it can send you into phycosic and many have wound up in the hospital from it you need to stop wile your ahead we want to help you but you got to want to help yourself keep posting for support good luck and God bless........Gnarly
