Addiction / Withdrawal - My story and some advice needed!!

So heres my story..I am a 24 year old male whose been doing pain killers recreationally for over a year now (i know stupid!!).  I was a college athlete and began experimenting with percocet after college when the real world set in.  I started experimenting with 30 mg percs a couple of times a week until recently I have been doing 2/3 30mg percs a day.  About a month ago I quit CT and was clean for about a week and a half.  The withdrawals weren't too bad as I took a modified thomas recipe but wound up starting to use again when a friend came to visit.  Since then I have been using for about a month and a half and taking about 2 - 3 30mg percs a day agian.  Recently I have been taking 24 - 36 hours off in between pills once in a while.  I am so ready to quit this habit and am thinking of going cold turkey agian.   My question is if I take a small sliver of suboxone (off the street) once in a while , will this help with the withdrawal and sleep?   I can't afford to take any more days off of work so I need the rest.

I am also thinking of goin to a doctor to explain my problem .. anyone have any suggestions?

How long will withdrawals last ... i know the habit is bad but I don't think it was too out of control, if I stop now will withdrwaals be horible?

Do it man cold turkey is terrible.  But don't go overboard with it because an addiction to that **** is much worse from what I hear.  I've gone cold turkey in the past and used methadone to get off - similar to sub. - and the methadone route was much easier on my body.  There were still some sleepness nights but nothing near the hurricane of c/t.  Just don't use the sub for more than the first 5 days.

Please do not buy any sub off the street.  Sub needs to be monitored by a doctor.  There is no way out of wd's.......it is all part of this and sub will only make it worse.  Get going on the Thomas Recipe like you did before.  Get out and get some exercise, take warm baths or showers if you are achy and drink plenty of fluids.  Aftercare is very important to our recovery......please check into that too.  Get your life back now before your intake gets any higher.  You can do this!!  Stay positive in your thinking.  We are here to support you           sara
