I just had 2 surgeries back to back(broken hand then rotater cuff) and have been on Norco for 18 months, average 6-8 pills per day and need a taper schedule that will still allow me to function.

Your doctor only knows the taper schedule ask him. I'm not a doctor. So I can't help you out on that one. The point is to gradually get off the norco at a slow pace. To avoid withdrawl symptoms. It's a much smoother ride tapering off rather than going cold turkey

We cannot provide you with a taper schedule here, it is a violation of our guidelines. Your best bet is to go to the prescribing doctor and get honest. Ask for a proper taper schedule and do it under his/her supervision.
