Add'l post ativan

Could use some advice on taking ativan thru w/d. On day 4 of w/d and have been takign 1/2 ativan (1mg) every night. Is it possible that the ativan is making the w/d worse? probably sounds like a dumb question, but i really am thinking maybe that's why i feel sooo bad. Or maybe should i take more?

i only have 3 1/2 pills left as this was from a rx back in may when i went through a period of insomnia. They never really did anything for me except help me sleep, which is why they are still around. Otherwise i'd have taken the entire bottle within 2 days.

anyway, any advice is super appreciated!

It's probably not making the withdrawals worse, but it does have a tendency to make you tired and lethargic (somewhat like Clonodine).

The ativan is used for wd from alcohol and other addictions and should help with sleep but that is about it. Get some OTC meds for the flu for during the day and that will help.   Benedryl, Dayquil, theraflu, aleve, zicam, hang in there you can do it.

No, I doubt the attivan is doing much of anything at the dose you are taking. all the best
