Affordable Alternatives

I have been trying to quit smoking for over a year now. The longest I've made it is nine days without a ciggarette. My question is as follows: Is there an affordable alternative to help me quit smoking? I want to quit smoking very badly but even when I'm flat broke my friends keep me stocked on cigarettes. I need something that isn't going to take such a huge chunk out of my wallet that I can't make ends meet. Thanks for your time.
