Allergy to Weed

by Ruby3733, May 28, 2008 01:08PM
I have never been allergic to any medication or food before and I had an allergic reaction that started yesterday morning and continued to worsen, even with the use of Benadryl, into this morning. I smoked weed with a couple of friends on Monday night and the spots began to show the next morning. They are red spots, resembling chicken pox, that completely cover my body and are especially prominent on my face, chest, stomach, and legs. I was wondering if the weed could have possible caused this outbreak or if there is a substance in the marijuana plant that could potentially cause this.

Allergies can pop up at any time. Could also have been laced with something. Anyone else with you having a reaction?

I got one word for you PESTICIDES. If it was grown out doors, it is very likely that the grower used a NFS (non food safe) pest control product. Even worse, for all you know if was grown in someones back yard where they applied scots turf builder or worse. I would suspect this is the likely cause, however, it is possible for some to be allergic to weed (though uncommon). Was this the first time you ever did it?

No it wasn't I smoke about twice a week. And nobody else showed symptoms, so I am guessing it was either a food reaction or reaction to a medication.
