Allergy to alcohol?

I have only ever been a social drinker and drink maybe once a week. On a normal night i would drink about 4/5 drinks and these would have no effect on me. Recently I have been ill a few hours after drinking just 1 or 2 drinks (Ihave been vomitting and unable to eat for about 24hrs). Is it possible there is a medical reason for this?

It sounds like alcohol withdrawal symptoms to me. It doesn't take much to become addicted for some people more prone and usually the withdrawal can start only a few hours after the last drink.

Next time you feel like ****, test it by having a few oz. drink and see if you feel much better. If you do, than you are likely alcohol dependant even if only a social drinker.

If you have doubts. try a few A.A. meetings and they can really help you get away from the booze. Some of us just have to accept we are addicted and not touch the stuff. I tried controlled drinkng for years before giving it up. Hope this helps.
