I really think you need to give up the alcohol in order to stay clean from coke. The cravings are so powerful as you know. The heart is a muscle and because it is being overworked using cocaine, it will actually increase in size and do damage. Sometimes it only takes a couple lines for heart failure and overdose. I overdosed on this drug, it was the scariest, most painful experience I have ever had and that`s what it took for me to stop, no other bottoms were big enough. Not only will this drug do damage to your heart, it will eat a hole in your nose, rewire your brain and the effects on the nervous system are unlike most other drugs. Are you willing to make some changes and support and kick this for good.
NO UR NOT GONNA DIE AFTER A FEW DAYS OF A COKE BINGE. IF YOU WERE GONNA DIE IT WOULVE HAPPEND THE DAY U WERE USIN AND WITHIN A FEW MINTUES AFTER IS WAS IN UR SYSTEM. YOUR HEART WOUDLVE EXPLODED AND HAD A HEART ATTACK. JUST BE CAREFUL WEN U USE STARWS OR DOLLAR BILLS WEN U SNIFF B/C UCAN GET HEPATITUS THAT WAY WEN U SHARE SNIFFER'S/STRAWS/ETC. (IT GETS INTO THE MUCOIUS MEMBRANE)
Hey, thanks hun, It really isn't worth it and this is a wake up call, and the messages written to me have helped me wake up and I appriciate them all. thanks. I want to move forward and leave that part of my life behind.
cocaine increases ur heart rate..puts a huge strain on ur heart..I just looked at ur age..25..but u never know if someone has underlying heart disease like a leaky valve etc..so no one can tell u what to do...we r only a group of addicts so u need to be checked out if u feel flutters with ur heart...cocaine has a short half life so it is like way gone..but u need to take things seriously with heart probs..panic attacks can also cause these symptoms..i would not play around as i have seen people come in that r cocaine users and code right before my eyes at ur age due to the strain it puts on the heart...most would not have an issue..but some will...listen to the medical advice u have been given and the warning signs are on written on the wall..let go of it...just taint worth it
Hey guys
I just spoke to a nurse on the phone and she said she thinks i'll be fine, but if I get any worse to to to ER. She did mention that long term use can give you heart attacks or strokes, and complications so, it's now scared me even more and I am going to avoid coke from now on.
I'm aware you can't give medical advice. I'm not panicking at all, I just feel anxiety in the way that my chest is a bit tight and I have a rapid heart beat. It could just be a hangover. I can't get to ER at the moment, I don't think I'm in any danger, as I always have bad come downs.
I wondered if any of u know about any facts on the long term damage that coke can do to your heart?
Yes too right, recently, my come downs have been SO bad, like this, that I want to and will stop using coke, I know it's dangerous and I don't want to use it anymore. I do it on weekends, but that to me for three years solid is an addiction.
I also drink more then I should too... and I drink to ease the symptoms of a come down.... not clever but it can help me a bit to stop panicking.
Honey, I'm so sorry that you are going through this. Most of us on here abused opiates. There are some members who's DOC was crack or coke. When these things happen, we cannot really tell you what's wrong. It is always safe to go to the doctor or ER. It could be a panic attack....it could be something else. There is no way of knowing for sure unless you see the doctor. Please take this as a sign to stop using this drug because it will keep happening. Try to relax and take deep, even breaths. Let us know how you are. It is very slow on here on weekends. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Corey
i am afraid no one on this forum is qualified to give medical advice. you should really go to the er or after hours clinic. cocaine can cause major damage to you heart. you really should stop now before you are so deep in your addiction you cant get out. there is alot of great support here if you secide to stop let us know how you are.
