I took ambien for 3-5 days when I was in serious wds from vics and oxy. My husband said I was fun! But I didn't remember it at all, not even a glimmer. Sort of like my alcoholic black out experiences.
The Applications however, were filled out in a completely different mind set. You know exactly what I mean. It seems like I was there but I wasn't. Staying awake on Ambien did seem to help the anxiety but that is only because it turned me into a zombie and when I was on Ambien, it was like I was half-way dreaming and for most people dreams are impossible to remember all the way, now what does that sound like? Also, I remember one time I took it and told myself ok, I have ten minutes to go to bed....then I started watching tv...then I remember like hallucinating from the lights coming from the tv and thats when I new it was time for sleep.
Well My resume was already written. And when I did write it, I was sober...which goes to say sober is better!!
cleandUP - that is incredile -- you peed in the dog idsh and then did an intense workout? that is pretty funny Oh and they fact you got called back means the resume couldnt have been that bad!
Yeah, it was very weird. I just have to watch because , as an addict, I definitely like to "alter' as my counselr has said. ANd that pill makes me altered to say the least.
I was taking ambien for a little while. When I was recovering from a vicodin addiction, I took ambien for the anxiety DURING THE DAY! i know crazy huh? Heres a couple stories...I woke up in a bath tub, I peed in my dog's dish (luckily she didn't drink it), My girlfriend said I did an intense workout for a half hour non stop including jumping jacks ( i mean who does those anymore? lol) , I applied for like 7 jobs I didn't need or knew I did, and got 3 calls back about applications I had no idea I filled out, and probably the most craziest would be writing my own family guy episode (it was 27 pages) I still have it and believe it or not, its pretty funny and have been thinking about sending it to FOX producers to write the episode because it has to do with ambien. BUT all this isn't really a joke you could do something dangerous and end up hurting yourself so I recommend taking an ambien, when your in bed under your covers because if you take it literally on your walk to bed, dead serious, you could be in for a night of surprises
never had a problem and been on them when needed for 10 years or more,,,but everyone is different..i do know i have to take it and get right into bed with a book and within 20 minutes i am asleep..i only take 2.5 mgs.....i do know i can not drink alcohol with it
oooppss you'd better take ambien and have a GPS at hand ( jk ;))
wish u a better night today ... :)
that is a perfect way to describe it! You do loose the filtering mechanism. I believe for people with insomnia it can be beneficial but yeah it needs to be taken right before your head hits the pillow. I cant believe a pill can actually do something like that. its crazy
I have a family member who is addicted to Ambien and it can be very strange. It really does seem to diminish the abilities of filtering, at least from my perspective. It seems they really do put you into a whole different world. It's definately hard on me, as an outside perspective, to see that kind of glazed behavior (for lack of a better concept.)
During ambien I fell asleep with food in my mouth. I once fell out at a stoplight while waiting for it to change. My wife and Son have even better stories, but I dont recall them...isnt that stuff wonderful??
You have to take it and go directly to bed. It will give you amnesia if you try and stay awake on it. It works well for me, but you have to take it as directed.
