1yraddict is right! It's day 18 for me and I am still experiencing anxiety. I have a pre-existing anxiety disorder, so the anxiety for me has been the most debilitating symptom I have experienced BUT getting out biking, taking lengthy walks, doing anything to release these anxious feelings.
As for watching TV. I had to literally change my whole DVR recordings HAHA You are gonna wanna cushion what you are watching if you are as anxious as you are. I'm 31 and I'll watch South Park because all it does is make me laugh :o)
Lastly, look into stress management, meditation, yoga etc. Channeling your anxiety into a more constructive nature will help you out greatly.

EXERCISE, you are anxious because your body is used to the pills creating endorphines synthetically. You need to retrain your body to start producing your own and exercise is the fastest way to do that bar none. Get out there and run, lift weights, it helped me ALOT. The anxiety went away as soon as i started exercising regularly.
anxiety is hard for me also I am always been like this though . I started excersing trying to get those endorphins back ;-) I have gone for so many walks Never knew what a great neighborhood i lived in Nice houses and just relaxes me . I also started reading it relaxes me :) day 13 here ! :) congrats on day 15 :) keep on posting
yes it is crippling, good way to describe it. I do feel a bit better today, hopefully I have broken through a bit. today is day 15 I think.
I wish the doc who put me on opiates would have made me come to this forum and readd first. If so I never would have started.
well its too late for that.
I will let you know when I am free of the anxiety, hopefully not much longer!
hugs,
Lily
Hi Lily Im totally suffering from anxiety as well I have 10 days today and am now not sleeping. I dont know if something is wrong with me Ive been able to sleep until now. Im just believing everyone when they say things get better with time. Im on an anti depressant for anxiety and I think It needs more time to work properly again. Ugghh I hate this anxiety its crippeling!!!
thanks for the replies folks.
As far as a psychologist, it would be great, I think we could all use one, but this anxiety thing is not psychological, if it is, then forget it, i can't last. THis is physical from the WD, or it better be anyway.
no, I am not normally depressed or anxious, so this better go away, and soon, because I really can't take much more of it.
I tried this and that, and nothing works.
Tuesday I see a doc, so hopefullly he can do soemthing for me.
thanks, and hugs
Lily
Hi Lily! You are getting some great advice! Anxiety is tough, I know! Are you able to get some exercise? Even just a short walk outside will help! Try just 15-30 minutes! Have you tried any supplements, like maybe Melatonin? 14 days is awesome! You should start feeling better soon! I agree that if it gets worse, talk to the doctor! Hang in there sweetie, you are doing great! I watch the Food Network! No anxiety there, just makes me hungry! LOL Big hugs!
I would highly recommend seeing a psychologist about this as this can be long term and a psychologist can assist in helping to ease this problem! Congrats on 14 days!
Two weeks...Wow! You should be very proud of yourself.
Although I never experienced it, ringing in the ears is fairly common, however, if it continues or makes you uncomfortable, then you should probably see a doc.
The anxiety is normal, but really should be subsiding. Are you a naturally anxious person; have you ever had any problems with depression? If so, then seeing a doc wouldn't hurt.
You body takes awhile to re adjust. I wanted to be normal NOW, but that didn't happen, so I had to wait. Hang in there. Keep us posted.
14 days thats great i know what u mean about the anxiety i am on day 2 and it is making me nutz.
