Any Relief- Cold Sweats/Skin Burning

Hi All,

Just wondering if any of you have any suggestions to relieve the skin crawling/cold sweats/skin burning (on the inside)...?  Honestly,  I can deal with anxiety, lack if sleep and straight up pain but those other feelings make me absolutely miserable!  I take clonidine but it doesn't help much.  Any suggestions much appreciated...although i have a sneaking suspicion I just have to ride it out.

I just got back from CVS and bought some more vitamins and stuff, thanks!!!

Hitting the gym at my office tomorrow and taking my boys to the movies Saturday.  Also going to watch The Judge On Demand; I played soccer for 3,years with actress Vera Farmiga and graduated with her and love Robert Downey, Jr. and Robert Duvall so that will bring me some joy!

Hi Junip,

That lovely sensation that you're describing (just got a visceral reminder of how much I miss it reading through this thread!:) will pass soon. I know that time might be crawling but I promise you that if you hang in there, when you look back, it'll seem like the blink of an eye.

Make sure to hydrate properly. Force yourself to exercise -- even walking will help & definitely redirect & try not to focus on the symptoms whenever you can. A good Essential Amino Acid supplement will help speed your detox as will a full-spectrum B complex. VIC is on the $ re: mineral supplements. It's important to get the right ratios of D3, Magnesium, Calcium, Potassium, Zinc & Copper (to name a few). Also, a good EFA supplement will help your healing, sleep & mood.

Hold Fast -- You're doing it! (Yaay you!:)

Hi
I agree with the above but I would like to add that Magnesium Oxide helps the muscles relax and helps tension causing calming effects to help with insomnia, muscles spasms, anxiety and nerves.

Potassium acts as a electrolyte and helps regulate muscle contractions and NERVE impulses.

Valerian root and also Iron in the form of ferrous sulfate.

Good luck and hang in. This all will pass but just be in-tune with the mental waves that will come and go for a while.

Bless

I joined a gym in detox. The swimming and sauna after where the times of day I most looked forward to. It also forced me to respond minimally to other people, which was definitely something I needed. All my instincts wanted me to isolate, I knew my instincts were affected by drugs, so I went to daily meetings and gym sessions. I didn't even think about the weights, there was no way, but the swimming and treadmill really put a healthy routine in place for me. Keep moving forward, it gets better and better, over minutes, days, weeks, months, and years. I didn't believe it at first, but now I know, it really does just keep getting better our whole lives.

You are doing awesome!  Just keep fighting the good fight and it will get better!!!  Maybe the couch will be a good idea!!!  You have to keep yourself comfortable!!  How was work yesterday?  I took a week off during detox but going back to work actually made it easier.  Just having something to pass the time and keep my mind busy!  Hang in there it will get better!!!!

Hey Junip, like everyone else suggested, try vitamins, I also take, drink emergency C, it really helps. Also an electric blanket can help calm the crawling feeling. I'm proud of you. You got this

Thank you!!  I am heading out to pick more stuff up. I can't take off work and having those feelings make it very difficult to concentrate. I would rather be vomiting or something.
