Anyone addicted to amphetamine?

I am pretty bad with my amphetamine addiction and it feels like im the only one in this world that struggle with this kind of addiction. Ive researched and i found some topic discussions on this addiction but i have never actually got to express my struggles and i think thats what i need to do. Ive tried to express my addiction to people who are close to me but its just not helping me. As addicts can relate, talking to people who really never experienced an addiction or have been around anything like it, then its very hard to take their advice because they thing that its just that easy to overcome but really its not.  It frustrates me alot because i just want someone to talk to who can relate to my problems and thats why i am trying this site to hopefully get some help and meet some other people. Thanks!

I was badely addicted to crystal meth in the late 1980's. It was horrible. It ruined my life.It took my marrige, my 2 year old son away from me. I lost jobs and was bankrupt. It came over me so fast, I never knew what hit me.  Its started out as a weekend thing, then everyday. Every relative and friend I knew was doing it or dealing it. My life revolved around the drug. It took loosing everything in my life to finaly get away from it.
Amphetmines are a something that will take everything from you. Get into NA as soon as posible. There is also a online, live meth-chat room that may help. I dont have the adress, just google it.
I understand what your going through.

This is a great site.  I am on day 5 and feeling better. If it wasn't for this site don't think I could of made it this far. I read on this site for support 10 or more times a day.  You will be amazed at the number of people just like us.  one minute, one hour, one day, one month at a time.

Welcome to the forum. Your right, it's hard to talk to someone that does not understand addiction and i hated it when those close to me said "just quit, it's easy".  How long have you been using? Have you ever tried any aftercare such as N/A meetings? Glad you found this site, it has helped me so much and there are a lot of same people in the same boat as you, even though we have all used different drugs the bottom line we are fighting for the same thing-to be clean of drugs. Stick around here and read some posts, so much can be learned. Good luck
