Melatonin has not worked for me. I am at Day 14 and sleep is still a problem. Right now it is 1:00 am and I still can't sleep.
~George~
Last night I slept for five hours ,one hour at a time. I woke up five times for about two or three minutes at a time. If not for dry mouth I might have slept through. I hav been doing an inward thing that I started last night.I have decided to force the lingering effects of Oxy to back down. It is a case of not giving in to the shadows of the addiction. Withdrawal is largely a mental thing. It is a case of using your willpower along with the support of others to keep it going. The final stages, which can vary from person to person, are the sneaky stages. That is when the mind tries it's best to confuse you and push you backwards. Anxiety and paranoia, are it's best weapons. I must convince myself that I have nothing to be afraid of and that there are no monsters under the bed or in the closet, if you get what I mean. I think it is starting to work because I feel a little more relaxed this morning. Hopefully this will help you top ush the demon out of your concious and subconcious mind. Persevere Tom, use your willpower to fight back.
Valarian root works well. If I take two of those I am out and the next thing I know is it's morning. Melatonin works too, but I have been using valarian root. I am going through withdrawals and it is difficult to go to sleep b/c I get anxiety and cold sweats. Valarian root will do the trick.
Great feedback, thanks..
I'll be picking up some Valarian Root asap..
