Anyone have some experience with Mobic?

Anyone have some experience with Mobic?

My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.

Yes Ive tried lyrica and it did help, however Im with a new doctor now and he didnt want to prescribe it for some reason. I didnt really get into the why not, Im just hoping this Mobic will help. But from what I understand about it, its just a stronger NSAID so Im not sure how helpful its going to be with nerve pain. I have to go get a lumbar MRI to hopefully see what the deal is. My previous doctor said I had reflex sympathetic dystrophy, but when I talked with others who had it there pain seemed much more severe than mine. My main concern was to find out if it was similar to tramadol at all, but I just looked it up and they seem completely different. Anyways thanks cathy for the quick response, Im off to go pick it up and see if it helps. Take Care.

mobic is an NSAID
tramadol (ultram) is not an NSAID
i take mobic for my arthritic pain whenever i need it.
it has helped me a lot with reducing inflammation and decreasing pain.

hope this helps some :)
