Anyone use these supps to help with the mental portion?

I just ordered the following:
-Phenibut - 100g Pure Powder
-5-HTP (Griffonia Seed Extract) - 25g Pure Powder
-Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALCAR) Capsules - 100 Gelatin Capsules
-DMAE-Bitartrate - 100g Pure Powder
-L-Tyrosine Capsules - 100 Gelatin Capsules L-TYR-CAP
-Noopept - 1g Pure Powder
-Pramiracetam
-Adrafinil

I can say the Phenibut does work at higher doses, a mix between helping with relaxing and social anxiety.  It didn't help me fall asleep but when I did it put me in a deep sleep when i first started taking it (works on the GABA receptors).  I hear it can be addicting when used regularly but so can loperamide.  These vitamins/herbs are more for the mental side and motivation, but I have only taken a few so not sure if anyone else has tried them.  I already put the order in so I will give an update once I give them a try.  I know depression and lack of motivation are why we turn back to the meds so hopefully some of these can ease that initial process.

IMO, I'd give it at least 6 months to a year to let your brain heal on its own. It's something you'll just have to fight through. But whatever you choose, I wish you the best. Take care!

I think you need to be careful. Looking at your list, you seem to be supplementing to provide support for your brain chemistry. But you've got five different substances all designed to promote alertness and mood. Any one of them I'd think was good, but I wouldn't take all of these at once, personally. I think you'd run the risk of developing more anxiety that you might have anyway. And who knows how they might interact. I recommend high-quality protein supplement in addition to whatever you do. The stuff that weightlifters use. I'd use that over the individual amino sups you're listing. And I also recommend paying special attention to your diet. You can many of the same results of supplementing by controlling your diet.

I did use the L-tyrosine which i did find helped as long as it was taken right. I took it in the a.m. on empty stomach, waited about an hour then ate. It totally helped with food ansorption. I also took bee pollen granuales and a suppldment called Haba 750 which helped with the neurotransmitters.
