Anything natural to use for anxiety??

by Ga Guy, Jun 29, 2007 12:00AM
It's nearing day 5 for me and I'm beginning to get some jitters. It's kinda like anxiety, but just like pins pricking my legs and feet. Hot baths not working. Kinda wondering if the B11/B6 is doing it. Anyone have any natural things from GNC I can try? Any suggestions??

Im in the same boat!

Have you tried taking a potassium supplement?

Try 5-HTP and chamomile tea. Also, if you have a Whole Foods around you, they are more than helpful and would know of other stuff as well,.  The people at GNC should also.  The B6 and L-Tyrosine (from the Thomas Recipe) did the same thing to me so I stopped taking those.  You are naturally going to be anxious where you are in your detox so hang in there.

I think the B's can ramp you up a little.. I am not sure.

and YES, there are natural remedies for anxiety:  chamomile tea, an herbal formula called Calms Forte, and I know there are quite a few others.

if you have a health food store near you i would go talk to someone who works there.  there are MANY herbal remedies for anxiety...

good luck!!

I've got the perfect thing for ya,Ga Guy. It's called Cal-Mag. It's supposed to
be a natural tranquilizer. You can get it at a large GNC only.Stay away from
the Blueberry drinks and the best one is the instant Cal-Mag C.It worked for
me back when I was in rehab for alc and coke,so give it a try. Unfortunately,
it hasn't worked for me this time with the oxy w/d's.I needed Benzo's just to
get a hour or so sleep ever now and then.Good Luck.

I commented this in another post 2 u but in case u did't catch it.
Tradional Medicinals makes a tea called Organic Nighty Night. 1 cup calms me down and 2 puts u to sleep. Good 8 hrs of sleep. Passionflower is a very good herb. Its anti-anxiety, calming , healing, and somewhat of a pain reliever also. Can buy it in capsules or tea bags.
The Nighty Night can be found in most grocery stores. It costs about $5 a box. Believe me these herbs are pretty potent. Probally shouldn't mix them some perscriptions though. Hope this helps.

I realize this isn't completely natural, but clonodine could help you a lot.  Xanax is another.  You aren't going to want to stay on them for a long time, but they can help you through the worst of it.  Just a thought.....God Bless, Dad

if you go to a herbal store they are all over the place. these little brown glass tubes, and inside there are little white balls. they have them for almost everything, i have them for anxiety and they really work they dont really have a name. but if you ask for what i said they will know what it is. this little white balls you put in your mouth and suck on them, and in no time your anxiety will be gone. and they are all natural
