Are they addictive?

Hello peeps, iv'e had a heroine problem 4 13 years now and have finally got stable on a methadone script. The past year of my life I have been through a lot involving my children. This has caused loads of problems for me and I have been having real difficulty sleeping! I went to my doctor but they said they would not help due to my past. However I started to buy tablets called Nitrazipan which I found really helped. Does any one have any info on these tabs      are addictive or not!! Am sick of my doctor have been to him begging for help for him to send me of with fact sheets from internet on how to sleep better ie bloody lavender what a joke!! Am worried if this carries on being up all night stressing out I will go back to drugs

What mg of methodone did you start on?  Wondering because so many people on here are so dead set agains using methodone to get off anything.  My addiction is hydrocodone or really any painkiller I could get my hands on.  With the help of my husband (who does'nt have an addictive personality) I'm trying the tapering off plan.  Just started today.  Feeling pretty crappy.  Re-thinking that maybe I should try methodone.  So what mg have you started on?  Will look forward to hearing from you.  Shere' (SouthernLady458)

I have neer heard of Nitrazipan but if you are buying them otc I would say there are not a narcotic. Not sure about getting addicted to them, I think you can just about any sleep aid. google it and you should get information on them. If I was you I would get another doctor, remember they work for you. and if you are not getting the treatment you feel you need, find another one.. This may be dumb but hoave you thought about taking a hot bath right before bed?I have a book called bottom lines secret food cures, it says nutmeg canact as a sedative, and to steep half of a crusted nutmeg in hot water for 10 mins and drink it 1/2 hour before bedtime. never tried it my self. good luck

I looked up Nitrazipan on the net, and it is addictive.  It's a benzo like valuim, xanax, etc.
