At a Lost

I met this really wonderful guy.I found out that he has adhd and abuses his adderall by snorting them. I watched him go through 30 pills in less then 24 hours.He told me that he olny does it one weekend out of the month and that it makes him feel normal.My question is how dangerous is it,even if he is only doing it two days out of the month?And, I don't know what to do for him,he is already in rehab for pot smoking.Should I just give up on him,since he doesn't want to save himself?

I agree with the you guys.  I have taken adderall plenty of times.  In fact, I have been bad lately.  I have been taking 30 mg once a week so that I can get stuff done at work.  I'll tell you first hand that taking one 20 mg pill in a day has my heart pounding.  So, I can tell you if he's doing that much, then I seriously doubt he's only doing that amt. on the weekend.  If you are a teenager in a not so serious relationship, get away from the dude.  I know plenty of guys like him from my experience, and he's most likely going to get worse before better.  Just my opinion.

I tend to agree with mockingbird.I have abused adderall a few times myself and I know that just doing one or two a day made my heart feel like it was going to beat right out of my chest,I can't even imagine doing 30 in 24 hours.If he is doing that many,he is most likely doing that more then on the weekends.I asked how old you were and how long you have known him because if this is not a committed relationship,and after re reading your post,it sounds like it's not.I would take mockingbirds' advice.....run!!!!!

Is he crushing the capsules (the orangeish ones??)  if he is going through 30 pills (assuming they are 10 or 20 mg) in 24 hours, his tolerance level is sky high... I don't think he could cultivate that on a "weekend only" basis.  I have abused adderall as well and know a lot about it........run sweetheart.
