Thank you all again so much for your advise! He had a moment today where he wanted either oxy or herion but seattled with neither after I told him I'd leave with his kids.
The doc gave us panadine forte and tramol to seattle any pain he might get.
The withdrawals appear to be gone we just need to deal with the cravings.
Been a whole world of help so thank you so much.
I hope you got some help here today as I am sure you did.
One thing concerns me is that he has used drugs in the past. Most people don't know the term "banging" and most people don't come home from the hospital with oxy's and decide to shoot them. This tells me that he has done this in the past, or something similar. If that is the case, please make certain that he gets some sort of aftercare this time around so he doesn't have to go through this again. He is a lucky man but I don't want to see his luck run out the next time.
Hope to see you keep posting. There is a lot of good information here on getting through this and the aftercare I spoke us. Best of luck to you both.
Thank you all for your help taken on board and in action
he most certainly IS. He is a very lucky man

Wds from oxys are the absolute worst on the planet and unfortunately there's nothing to "fix" it but time. However, you can't die coming off of them - even tho you feel like you're dying, you're not.
All the above advice is pristine, just wanted to add for him to stay away from hot liquid intake - coffee, tea, soup (no caffeine especially within the first week). And the tried and true home remedy of hot showers as needed. Dehydration is really the biggest enemy in his case, so push the fluids even he pukes them back up. Good luck!
Try small ice chips to melt in the mouth and keep in mouth.....warm flat 7-UP (let it sit out open ...) - - - You might be able to check for visual hints online - to check for dehydration take the skin between thumb and forefinger and pinch it up - - - - when you release it the skin should return to smooth (or whatever it was like pre-pinch....) - - - - - If you are in serious shape you will notice the mental confusion most likely ------- if he seems disoriented or the like you probably need help moderately soon ...... you can make it until morning but dont dally a great deal ...... and good luck to both of you - - he is lucky to have you around and concerned..........
I believe if you "pinch" his fingernails and they don't immediately return to red (assuming they are to begin with, that is one way to tell..unless it's an old wive's tale.

We live in a remote area I've been making sure he is drinking water or cordial at the very least but even that won't stay down I do not know how to check for dehydration
Dont you have 24 hour stores down under? Dehydration is what you are looking at preventing/addressing - - - the constant vomiting & loose stools let liquid run out of you - - gotta replace it with something good to keep serum electrolites in order - - if electrolites are whacked out you will probably notice mental confusion first .... do you know how to check for dehydration? BP would be blood pressure and its simple with a machine or stethascope and sphygnamometer...........this can get serious - - you are correct to want to be on top of it - -
Its 4am in the morning here I will get to the store as soon as it opens I will be banging down the doors thank you for your advise, I have no idea about any of this, it has come as a shock to me - I think we have the electrolite replacement avaliable at the chemist I don't know how to monitor bp or even what bp is
I hope that you are in the store right now - - if he wont go to help then keep him hydrated - especially electrolite replacement therapy - - - and monitor his bp at least every thirty minutes to one hour depending upon how comfortable you feel professionaly about his presentation..................and good luck - - maybe saying a prayer wouldnt hurt ...... losing more than 15 pounds of fluids in three days is a shock for a system...........get those back in him and keep them in him..........
He needs a lot of good fluids ... and he needs those sooner - rather than later - - gatorade - ****pedialyte elecrolite replacement is good***- - warm flat 7-UP works and so does white grape juice - - stay away from acids (think citrus and tomato) -------- immodium for loose stolls and emetrol for the vomiting .......I would say that some ensure type drink - Walgreens store brand is good - would be proper...............dont wait - you will get more suggestions......
