Bayer Back and Body

OMG... just wanted to give a heads up on this.  Unless you regularly consume caffeine I would highly discourage anyone from taking these for pain management.  They left me extremely jittery, palms super clammy, heart racing and just feeling really terrible for several hours... now I am completely exhausted from the ordeal and still have to complete my work day and go home to take care of my son.  Ugh.

I know we are all trying to find an alternative for dealing with chronic or reoccurring pain so thought I'd help eliminate one for those sensitive to caffeine.  I had no idea.

5 days free of opiates here after a recent relapse... other than this odd episode, I've been doing well and narcotics are furthest from my mind... except when they aren't.  Gah.

I found that I could not handle caffeine at all in the first ten or so days of recovery.I am fine with it now though. It may be something to try again for pain after you are completely detoxed and feeling more normal.Great job on the five days.I know those first days are horrible. Hang in there!   :)

I remember trying Percogesic when I was in WD. (NO...not percoCET!) It's OTC, but has some ingredient in it like an antihistamine.  NOT GOOD!  I was climbing the walls.  It's another one to definitely stay away from.  And anything that says "migraine/tension" is also going to be full of caffeine.  They don't bother me, but I drink a lot of diet coke, so that's probably why.  Early in WD, it's just better to stick with Advil or plain Tylenol for pain, unless it's something natural, but like Pat said, L Tyrosine is recommended in the Thomas Recipe, and it makes a lot of people super wired and jittery!  It's best to just get by on as little as possible, and you won't have to worry about it! : ) Congrats on your 5 days!

There are some otc meds that can really make us loopy.  Make sure you read all the side effects.
I know l-tyrosine is recommended for energy often but even that can create anxiety.  Also if you are on certain anti-depressants you shouldn't take it.
Just google everything before you take it lol.
