Are you talking about the Lidocaine patches?? Is that the same thing??  I was gonna ask about those when I go to the new doc in 2 weeks... I just read something about them this week and I think they may help with what I am going through right now..

I will ask the doc when I go... I wish I could have gotten in sooner... but no go... its less than 2 weeks.. If I made it this long I can go another 13 days.. I hope the MRI gives me some more answers.

Some pain is very real try this patch if it works great for a herniated disc it might help you too.....

I told the doctor that I was a recovering addict after 37 years of drug abuse..........
He assured me that this was not a narcotic.........I promise you I made sure and looked it up on the computer............

For me this a godsend and I am sure if would be safe in pregnancy but make sure with your OB doctor first ok.......

Hey beach did you just ask your dr. for this patch?  It really has no narcotic - you can't somehow get addicted to it?  I wonder if it is safe in pregnancy, I will have to look into it.

I have been doing reserch on this kind of thing.. so it will be on my list.. I am seeing a doc on the 20th to get a second opinion.. and I should have my MRI results tommorrow I hope.. I am having some pretty intense shoulder pain and spasms with my neck stuff.. nothing seems to help right now.. I am back taking OTC stuff but its not really doing anything.. I take flexirl at night if needed.. I am icing, and even heating despite my chiro saying "no heat"  sometimes the ice makes me worse.. so I have to do the heat sometimes.. I am trying Excedrin Tension Headache, but I mainly get the headaches after 5pm.. so its messing with my sleep even more than the pain already is.. The other night I broke down and took a xanax to try to get a nights sleep for once.. Helped for a few hours. I stopped taking the Mobic since I had those chest pains and trouble taking deep breaths..
I don't know what the heck to do anymore.. I really wish the pain was all in my head..

Sunday I herniated a disc with a tear on a vicious golf swing........

My pain was so bad I could not even get out of my car at the ER two security guards had to help me out of the car and put me into a bed and then I was rolled straight into the ER where I was taken to observation and waited for an emergency MRI

Today is Tuesday two days later and while wearing this patch I feel no pain........

Many people here say they have to have narcotics for severe back pain........I herniated a disc and today I feel no pain.........until I take the patch off which is not to be on more than 12 hours.....
