Throw that BP cuff away!!
you are doing great vic i just saw my cons. today i told him maybe i would drop at 4mgs he thinks i should do the 4mgs for a week then drop.?
OH YES I know the cig thing..That is my next stop..I only started it when I was on my meds..It was just here and there..Now I can really feel it..We can all do this now together RIGHT!!! We can give each other support...
vickie...You are doing very, very good...ponco...
ok or its the 2 and a half packs of cigarettes i smoke im gonna quit as soon as i get off the meth.
Hi ponco...I agree with all the above post..I am 56 and I went c/t as you know my story...My heart just pumped bad..It happens in a detox state due to the anxiety level..You should be fine...BUT if it gets to really pumping and some pain issue go back to the ER..BUT PLEASE do not tweak your self into it..Re-direct your self out of your self right now...This is very important..We have all tried to tell you this..I know the HEART thing is scary but it just could be the detoxing state...OK you are doing good and some day you can look back at all of this...
God Bless you...
vickie

its not to comeing off the meth, but the dam chest pains, i think its part wd, i know iwas at the er months ago ekg a bunch, blood test no heart attacks, of course i have to get that angiogram, i applied for disability so hopefully it will go through the bp im only checking 2 times a day only because of wd make sure it doesnt go way up.
You can google Blood Pressure Chart. It will give you the guidelines. 150 over 85ish is mild borderline hypertension. I'm on BP meds because of hereditary high BP that runs in our family. My doctor is okay with me stabilized at around 140 over 85ish or so when in his office. I have a good machine at home to take my readings. When I'm at rest it's way lower. When I exercise it goes way up into the 190s but quickly goes back down as I start to rest.
I'm 66 years old. I know your 60. When I went thru hydro withdrawal it went up to 165 to 175 over 90ish on my bad WDs days, even when I was trying to rest. It stayed up there for 2 days or so. I think It's fairly common to have elevated BP during WDs because of the anxiety alone. The lows you recorded are fine. As long as once you get through this you get back to normal BP.
Do see your doctor about your concerns. He might get you into Clonidine to help you with BP and sleep.
Those BPs are good! The 160 is a little high, but BP will always fluctuate a good bit, especially with anxiety levels. Overall, it looks very good.
You say you check it all the time, most likely that is adding to your anxiety. Doing that becomes a compulsion. Once a day is MORE than enough, or if you're not sure, ask your doctor how often you should be checking it, and stick to that schedule.
