Brain not functioning, anyone help

I stopped taking 1000mg MScontin (kind of like oxy)and 60mg methadone 12 days ago. Which I have been on for a sever chronich pain for several years. For the past few days my brian isn't functioninng properly. I get stuck like, I cant think my thoughts throughh. It is very frustrating. I am already drinking a couple of litre of fluid/gator aid q/day and am eating.  Has anyone else gone or going thru this or if anyone has suggestion for hellp please help. Thank you for your time.

Wow, you are really doing well considering the amount of meds you were on. Did you talk to your doctor about the confusion? I would give him a call and let him know. I have read that the withdrawals from the meds you were taking are much longer than hydros. I am sure someone on the forum with more experience can help you. I wish you the best and hope the confusion stops and it is just part of your w/d.
Always,
Mariyah

That is what amazes me too.  If a horse took as many pills as I do it would kick its ass.  And day after day...uuuggghhh the reality of that.

Are you taking 12 7.5 vics and suboxone? I am on suboxone also. It's really working great for me and I am happier than I have been in a long time. I feel great.

Have you experienced any anxiety with the subox? I am not sure if it is w/d or a side effect of the subox or just plain old stress. It usually happens around 5:oo in the evening and on till I go to bed. I take 1 1/2 8 mg in the morning and 4 mg in the afternoon. Could I be taking too much?  My last perc was on Monday. In a week I will try one 8mg in the am and maybe if I need it 4 mg in the evening. Do you take it just once in the morning. I am e-mailing my doc and see him on Wed but I am just curious about what you are experiencing. If you have been on it for a bit can you tell me more about what to expect and info? My doc can tell me too, but he isn't the one taking it.

thanx

it's 6:38 I've been talking w/ my daughter sorry. That is a lot of vic. Have you had a Liver panel done lately? Taht is soooo much acetaminophen you are taking, wow. It's a short acting compared to a extended releasr, I would say as far as w/d were in the same boat depending on how long youuve been taking. Which to get to that dose hass to be several years I'm guessing. I'm really glad to hear about your freedom. I'm guessing you doing the taper to come off, rather than what I'm doing which I went for subutex, (Dr said is really like c/t at the dose I was on) which I couldn't tell was helping untill yesterday.  Once I'm stable (which could be a month or months) my Dr. says he can taper me off the Sub. w/o me feeling it. I hope.

Read the super long post regarding PAWS, below, which I cut and pasted from a good source.  It's under "the reality that is PAWS ."

Never be sorry here, just isn't necessary to go there.

I am currently taking 12 7.5 vics daily.  I was taking over 20 plus soma three times a day...a very addictive muscle relaxer...but I gave up the soma last week.  just didn't get it refilled because once I go through the initial wd from it I just don't miss it.

So does that compare?  Don't get me wrong, I have taken waaaay over 20 before and usually if I go to the street I get 10s.

I am going through a divorce that has lasted three years and will be done in a couple months now.  Something about gaining that freedom has made me want freedom from this addiction.  I have to be on my own now.  I need to kick it.

Peace~
