Bupe: What you MD knows

Hey everyone,

Here are a couple links that are informative and interesting.

This is the US government site that has the training material that most likely your MD has studied for their certification:

http://bupawareness.nattc.org/aboutUs/blendingInitiative/products2.htm#buptreatment

Specifically this doc file:

http://bupawareness.nattc.org/aboutUs/blendingInitiative/BupTreatment/TrainersManual.doc

That is the training Manual for docs. Check out around page 34-36 and you will see the taper schedule that is the reference at this time.
I had printed ths out before I started tapering, not that it really helped, but at least I felt informed. I also took a COWS every morning to have a reference point for each day.

Submitted for your approval...

No problem,

I read this before I started, and found it very helpful when looking for an MD that was in the field. Everyone considering bupe / subutex / suboxone should read the training manual, me thinks.

Past...Thanks for the information. My dad has chronic back pain and has been on oxy for probably 2 years now. I know he needs the meds for pain, and I have yet to find reasons that he's abusing them, but I'm still gathering info to help him when he wants to get off this stuff. This is great information. Thanks for posting it...
