CT off sub after 2 weeks?

Just have a quick question.  I started sub 2 weeks ago yesterday (Feb 25th)  First 2 days I was great and then nothing but problems. (Headache, nodding off, foggyness, dizziness, naseau) I voiced my concerns to my doctor who in turn doubled my dose.  It only made my symptoms worse.  I went from 4mg 3xs a day (12 total) to 2mgs 3xs a day (6 total) to 1mg 3xs a day (3 total) for the last 3 days.  I stopped CT on the evening of March 10th.  It has been 48 hours since I have taken any suboxone and I only took it for 2 weeks.  Aside from some tummy upset and anxiety, I feel ok.  Will I have major withdrawal from 2 weeks on sub?  Is is going to hit me later?  My pupils are still a lot smaller then they should be even though I haven't taken the sub for 2 days.

To anyone thinking about using sub.  I have heard wonderful things about it.  I am sure it is great for people with big habits and a big tollerence.  For me at my worst I was only at 12 5mg Vics a day and when I got on sub I was down to 6 per day.  I think sub was a major overkill.   I felt awful for 2 weeks, when my withdrawal would have probably been 7 days tops if that.  Please anyone thinking about getting on sub with a small habit, really think it through.  In my case I went through more hell and that hell cost me and arm and a leg $ wise.

Any info on if I will withdrawal after 2 weeks on sub would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Thanks Ga,  I don't feel that bad just some yawning, watery eyes, agitation, and tummy issues.  No pain at all, just annoying things.  If it doesn't get worse then this I will be fine :)

My doctor is actually a very nice doctor, she was encouraging, advised NA which I attend, advised an addiction specialist which I do see.  Had me keep a journal and read of Mice and Men.  She is a pain management doctor and what irritated me was if I was coming to see her for "pain" she takes insurance.  For suboxone, nope not the case, $350 your first visit at $150 each consecutive.  After reading other peoples experiences this seemed to be the standard practice I guess.  I think a lot of sub doctors just don't have enough training or understand how sub works totally.  I get the impression they try to fix anyone with an opiate dependence with sub.  It just doesnt work for everyone.

JBL please do not let me experience scare you away.  Everyone is different.  Just make an educated decision based on your situation and search a lot on the internet about other peoples experiences.  In my case I am 100% confident my tollerence was not high enough to handle sub.  Even on the low doses, I was not doing well on it.  It can be a great tool for a lot of people.

Thanks for the heads up on suboxone. I was thinking of going that route. Maybe I need to rethink.

You'll be fine. I usually don't bust Sub doctors because the history of the person usually is something we're not privy to. But, in this case, your Sub doctor seems a bit aloof. the doses you were taking were close to 80mg of Hydrocodone. You were taking 30mg. The reason you had all of those side effects was because you took a massive jump in your opiate dosage. The fact that he doubled your dose in the face of these effects makes me doubly worried. Also, the three time a day dosing goes against everything the Suboxone program is about. I know there are bad Sub doctors out there, and I think you may have found one.
